Professional Experience:

1997 – 1998.  Americorps Program.  Tropical Hammock studies in Biscayne National Park.  Gathering hammock data for restoration of Boca Chita Key.

 

1997 – 2006.  Adjunct Professor in Biology and Environmental Studies Departments.  Taught labs in South Florida Ecology, Plant Taxonomy, Local Flora, and General Biology.

 

1998 – 2006.  Lab Manager and Field Technician in Aquatic Ecology Lab. Work was with Dr. Joel Trexler at FIU.  Duties include gathering and processing of field data (fish and invertebrates) from Everglades National Park and Water Conservation Areas. Received B-3 and S-271 helicopter training as well as airboat and airboat electrofishing  experience.

 

2006 – Present.  Field Technician in South Florida Tropical Ecosystems Lab.  Assumed lead on Tree Island Project and co-lead on LILA Tree Island Restoration Project.
